Pochisilk - Welcome!

Welcome to our first Pochisilk blog-cum-newsletter! 

We find ourselves in the unusual situation of launching our blog in September 2021 even though our business has been up and running for nearly two years - so please excuse us if we do a bit of reminiscing over our first blog-months!

We are Pochi Silk, based in the beautiful land of Myanmar, in Yangon and in Chin State.    

Our day-to-day work is challenging at the moment – we are faced with political uncertainties and, like the rest of the world, had to weather the cruel storm that is Covid19. 

Despite all, we push forward with enthusiasm and optimism….and over the next weeks are excited to introduce you to our business, our wonderful weavers and farmers, and of course our products.

We hope to have our Yangon studio open again soon – though you’re more than welcome to visit now by appointment (all Covid precautions taken). 

You will be welcomed by Lin & Mar Mar – our weaving managers, who will feature in glorious colour in our next update - and our studio cats, Mabel & Tilly.
